Robert Falcon Scott and his doomed expedition members set out from this the 1911 Terra Nova Hut at Cape Evans, Antarctica for their fatal last attempt at reaching the south pole. The house was insulated with fine seaweed. The kitchen is still stocked with Edwardian provisions.
