Caption: Queen Victoria (1819-1901), British monarch. Victoria ruled the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland from 20 June 1837 until her death. She was also Empress of India from 1876. Victoria became queen at the age of eighteen. In 1840 she married her first cousin Albert.
