Caption: Group of Magdalenian humans. Magdalenian refers to the period between 17,000 and 12,000 BC (Upper Paleolithic) in Western Europe. Magdalenians hunted mammals with spears and also set traps and snares. They are particularly known for their decorative carving of bone, antler and ivory.
