Caption: Sadhu holy man, in Varanasi, India. The Naga sect of Hindu ascetics are known as the 'naked' sadhus, and do not wear clothing, instead covering their body with paint and ash, and their hair in dreadlocks. Some attach weights to their genitalia and perform various penances and displays to desensitise the organs. Varanasi, on the banks of the Ganges, is the holiest of the sacred cities of Hinduism.
