Caption: Blood cells. All cellular blood components originate from the same cell, the haematopoietic stem cell. The stem cell differentiates into two types of progenitor cells. The common lymphoid progenitor cell gives rise to B and T lymphocytes (top right and right). The common myeloid progenitor cell gives rise to all the other cells.
