Caption: Almost certainly a male Red-Naped Trogan ('Harpactes Kasumba'). The species, however, normally has white edging to the black breast patch and brown central tail feathers. From an album of 51 drawings of birds and mammals made at Bencoolen, Sumatra, for Sir Stamford Raffles. Watercolour. Originally published in c.1824. Illustrated by J Briois.
