Caption: Five male types standing in a line, Inscribed in ink beneath four of the five figures: 'Sanyassee or religious Mendicant; Goshein; ...; Beggar; Snake Charmer.' All these are copied from faint pencil inscriptions, except that the original middle inscription was already too faint to be copied. The five figures are also numbered in pencil '31-35.' Watercolour. Tanjore/Madras style. Originally published in c.1820.
