Caption: Kinzua Bridge. 1883 engraving of the Kinzua Bridge, or Kinzua Viaduct, Pennsylvania, USA. The Kinzua Bridge was a railroad trestle that spanned Kinzua Creek. Prior to its collapse in 2003 at the hands of a tornado, the bridge was 92 metres tall and 625 metres long. It was originally built from iron in 1882 and held the record as the tallest railroad bridge in the World for two years. In 1900 it was dismantled and simultaneously rebuilt out of steel so that it could accommodate heavier trains.
