This device was used for locating the position of the Moon in the zodiac, to find propitious dates for blood-letting. At the four corners, the patron saints of the Guild; St John, St John the Baptist, St Cosmas, and St Damian Image taken from Guild Book of the Barber Surgeons. Originally published in England York; 1486, with additions to 1768.
