Caption: Kuzma Andrianovich Andrianov (1904-1978), Soviet chemist, in his study. From 1959 Andrianov was head of the Polymer Synthesis department at the Moscow Institute of Fine Chemical Technology. He worked on the synthesis of organicsilicons, and was the first to synthesise polyorganosiloxanes. He became a member of the Soviet Academy of Sciences in 1964.
