Caption: Juliet Lee-Franzini (1933-2014, nee Lee), US-Italian particle physicist. She worked at Stony Brook University, New York, USA, in 1963, as the founding faculty member of the high energy physics experimental group. She married fellow physicist Paolo Franzini in 1964. In 1993 she moved to a position at the Laboratori Nazionali de Frascati, Italy, where she later became Director of Research. Her work included study of the muon decay spectra, the spectroscopy of bound state mesons, quark heavy flavour potentials, and the KLOE experiment at Frascati. This photograph, in the Columbia Computer Center machine room, dates from 1966.
