Caption: Meningioma tumour. Light micrograph of a section through an angiomatous meningioma. Meningiomas are benign (non-cancerous) tumours that arise from the meninges (membranes) that surround the brain and spinal cord. Angiomatous meningiomas are a rare type of meningioma where more than half the tumour area is composed of vascular tissue. Cell nuclei are stained purple and show large size variation. Magnification: x250 when printed at 10 centimetres wide. Human tissue.
