Caption: Bosporan coin. This coin dates from the Bosporan Kingdom of the 4th century BC. This state was located on the shores of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov in what is now eastern Crimea and the Taman Peninsula (Ukraine and Russia). The coin shows the image of a lion, the symbol of power, and a sturgeon, the symbol of wealth. Photographed in 1985, in Russia's Krasnodarskyi region.
