Caption: Greenpeace's Rainbow Warrior. This was the second flagship of the environmental protest group Greenpeace International. The first Rainbow Warrior had been sunk in 1985. This replacement, sometimes called Rainbow Warrior II, was officially launched in Hamburg on 10 July 1989, the fourth anniversary of its predecessor's sinking. The Rainbow Warrior II is a 55-metre-long three-masted schooner. It was retired in August 2011. Photographed in June 1989, near the Leningrad Seaport wharf, St Petersburg, Russia.
