Caption: Dust devil tracks on Mars. Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter image of sand dunes with dark coloured tracks caused by whirlwinds, also known as dust devils. The lighter coloured dust surface is removed by the dust devils to reveal the darker basalt grains. Image obtained by the High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment (HiRISE) camera on 23rd March 2013.
