Caption: Urinary tract cancer. Light micrograph of a section through a transitional cell carcinoma (TCC) of a ureter, the tube that carries urine from the kidney to the bladder. TCC is the most common form of urinary tract cancer and arises from the transitional epithelium that lines the system's inner surface. It is more common in men than women. Risk factors include smoking and exposure to certain chemicals. Magnification: x250 when printed at 10 centimetres wide. Human tissue.
