Caption: Cleaned and polished fossil of Eparietites Denotatus, an Ammonite that lived during the Sinemurian stage of the Lower Jurassic. It comes from a location in the Scunthorpe area of the Dorset coast, England and is found nowhere else in the world. This specimen has a diameter of 20 cm, its spiral shell featuring smooth, trigonal whorls and distinctive suture lines separating the shell's chambers.
