Caption: Parasitoid wasp in stink bug egg. Adult parasitoid wasp (centre) emerging from an egg laid by a stink bug. After the wasp has laid her eggs, the parasitoid offspring (one per egg) develops inside the host egg, eating it from the inside out. Many parasitic wasps are considered beneficial because they control populations of agricultural pests.
