Caption: Psidium cattleianum. This species is a pest species in the Hawaiian Islands where it crowds out the native flora forming dense thickets. It's root system forms a dense mat which stops the growth of other plants. Originally introduced for it's edible fruit it has become naturalised in many areas of the Tropics.
