Caption: Sodium sample in an atomic absorption spectrometer. Here, a 1000ppm sample containing sodium ions is injected into the absorption spectrometer, where it is atomised and introduced to a flame. The atomised sample containing sodium ions emits a specific wavelength of light (589 nm), giving the flame the characteristic yellow flame unique to the element sodium.
Release details: Model release not required. Property release not required.
