Caption: Comma butterfly (Polygonia c-album) feeding on Buddleja. The Comma butterfly, which has a wingspan of up to 45 millimetres, is native to southern England and Wales. During the early part of the 20th century their numbers dropped to near extinction level but now they are a relatively common sight. In hibernation, with wings folded, they resemble a dead leaf. The caterpillars feed on nettle.
