Caption: Swine flu (H1N1) vaccination. Healthcare worker preparing a dose of an influenza vaccine at a public vaccination session during the 2009 influenza pandemic. This outbreak was caused by a strain of the H1N1 influenza virus. The vaccine that was developed was provided first to children aged five years or younger and other groups considered at risk. It was provided in two forms, a nasal spray and an injectable form. Photographed in October 2009, in Hamtramck, Michigan, USA.
