Caption: Stanislas Dehaene (born 1965), French neuroscientist and cognitive psychologist. Dehaene's research includes numerical cognition (the neurological basis of numbers and mathematics). Dehaene has also worked on consciousness and language processing. His works include 'Consciousness and the Brain: Deciphering How the Brain Codes Our Thoughts' (2014). Since 2005, he has held the Chair of Experimental Psychology at the College de France. He was jointly awarded the 2014 Grete Lundbeck European Brain Research Prize. Photographed in 2012, at the French Academy of Sciences, Paris, France.
