The electrodes provide continuous electrical stimulation, which blocks the signals that cause the tremors characteristic of Parkinson's disease. This operation is being carried out by a team led by Professor Stephan Chabardes. Photographed at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Grenoble, Grenoble, France.
