Caption: Skin graft surgery to treat hand wound. Sequence of artworks illustrating surgery carried out to graft skin from elsewhere on a patient's body onto a hand wound. At upper left, a groin skin flap is harvested from the right upper thigh. At upper right, the wound in the dorsal region of the hand is covered with the flap which is sutured into place. At lower left, a skin graft is harvested from the patient's right forearm. At lower right, the meshed skin graft is used to fill the wound in the wrist area. This procedure is known as a distally based pedicled radial forearm fascial flap and full-thickness skin graft.
