Caption: Giant spiny frog (Quasipaa spinosa). This frog is found in southern China. It reaches a relatively large size for frogs (10 centimetres in length) and is named for the spiny chest of the males. For the spines, see C021/6426 and C021/6427. This frog is considered a delicacy and medicinal resource in China, where its conservation status is vulnerable. Photographed in Guangdong, China.
