Caption: Artwork of ruins in Ypres, Belgium, during World War I (1914-1918). These are the ruins of St. Martin's Cathedral and the Cloth Hall. Three battles took place at Ypres during World War I, causing widespread destruction of the city. All civilians were evacuated from the town on 9th May 1915.
