Abnormal mitosis. Artwork of abnormal anaphase during mitosis (nuclear division). During mitosis two daughter nuclei are formed from one parent nucleus. At anaphase, the sister chromatids of each chromosome are pulled to opposite poles of the cell. Here chromosomal aberrations have lead to unequal segregation. Abnormal segregation can lead to cell abnormalities or cell death.
