Caption: Soyuz TM-7 training. Crew of the Soyuz TM-7 mission during splashdown recovery training. Soyuz TM-7 was a joint Franco-Soviet mission to the Mir space station. The crew members are (left to right): Jean-Loup Chretien (researcher, France, born 1938), Alexander Volkov (commander, born 1948), and Sergei Krikalev (engineer, born 1958). Soyuz TM-7 was launched on 26 November 1988. Chretien stayed on Mir for 24 days, returning with the crew of Soyuz TM-4. Volkov and Krikalyov stayed in orbit for 151 days, returning on 27 April 1989. Photographed in the Black Sea near Crimea, Ukraine, in September 1988.
