Caption: Basket extraction of bladder stones viewed from the prostate gland. To extract the stones, a ureteroscope is passed through the urethra into the bladder and used to locate the bladder stones. Once located, the stones are removed with a small basket (shown here) inserted through the ureteroscope; this is known as basket extraction.
