Caption: Female hand. 19th Century radium ray image of the hand of the German Physicist Wilhelm Rontgen's wife. Rontgen (1845-1923) discovered X-rays in 1895. He was awarded the first Nobel Prize in Physics in 1901. From Weltall und Menscheit (Universe and Humanity), by Hans Kraemer (ca. 1880).
