Caption: Clouds over the Americas, GOES satellite image. Three low-pressure systems form swirling cloud masses across the USA at top, one over the Pacific coast, one over the USA, and one off the Atlantic coast. These have classic comma shapes. Each system is bringing rain or snow to the land areas they cross. The data for this image was obtained on 31 March 2014 by the GOES 13 and GOES 15 satellites. The GOES (Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite) weather satellites are operated by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
