Caption: Hepatitis after treatment. Light micrograph of a section through a liver after treatment for hepatitis. Hepatitis is inflammation of the liver. It may occur with limited or no symptoms but often leads to yellowing of the skin (jaundice), poor appetite and malaise. Chronic hepatitis may ultimately lead to cirrhosis - scarring of the liver as a result of long-term liver damage.
