Caption: Lystrosaurus fossil. Lystrosaurus was a heavily built, herbivorous burrowing animal, about the size of a pig. It lived in the Late Permian and Middle Triassic Periods, from around 260-235 million years ago. This fossil is the remains of the cranium, jaw and pectoral girdle.
