Caption: Lesser spotted dogfish. A dried specimen of the lesser spotted dog fish (Scyliorhinus canicula). These fish are the smallest of the sharks, having slender bodies, a flattened head and a short round snout. They live along coasts dwelling mainly on the sea floor and feeding primarily on crustaceans, molluscs and worms.
