Caption: Korea at night, ISS image. Image taken on 30th January 2014 by astronauts on board the International Space Station (ISS). South Korea is visible as the brightly lit zone at the lower right corner of the image. The brightest part is Seoul. At centre middle is neighbouring North Korea, which is mostly dark by comparison apart from the capital city Pyongyang. On the left side of the image is China and the Yellow Sea. To the right is the Sea of Japan.
