Caption: Greater sulphur-crested cockatoo (Cacatua galerita galerita). This parrot lives in woodland and scrub in Papua New Guinea and northern and eastern Australia. It feeds on plants, digging for roots and bulbs with its bill and also taking fruits, seeds and leaves. It tends to congregate in large, noisy flocks. It may reach a length of up to 35 centimetres. Photographed in the Atherton Tablelands, Queensland, Australia.
