Caption: Paris Meteorological Observatory. Historical view of the Palais du Bardo building during the time it housed the Paris Meteorological Observatory, in Parc Montsouris, Paris, France. The building was a replica (reduced in scale) of the palace of the Bey of Tunis. It was first constructed for the Universal Exposition of 1867, and then transferred to the park. The meteorological observatory later moved, and the building burned down in 1991.
