Caption: Apollo CSM-111 in orbit, astronaut photograph. View of the US Apollo CSM-111 space-craft as seen from the Russian Soyuz spacecraft in Earth orbit during the Apollo Soyuz Test Project (ASTP). The ASTP mission was the first joint international manned space-flight. It took place from 15-24th July 1975. The Russian Soyuz 19 and American Apollo CSM-111 spacecraft docked in orbit on 17th July to test a jointly-designed international docking mechanism. Photographed by the Apollo crew, in July 1975.
