Maple sap collection. Plastic bags have been tied to the trunks of sugar maple trees (Acer saccharum) to collect their sap. This sap is then boiled down to concentrate its sugar content forming maple syrup, which is used widely in deserts and sweets. Photographed in Detroit, USA.
