Caption: The Monterey Dorid, Archidoris montereyensis, is found in the tidal zone between Kachemak Bay, Alaska, to San Diego, California. Also called the Monterey Sea Lemon, this animal's primary food is the bread crumb sponge, Halichondria panicea. This dorid has small black spots covering some of its small rounded body projections.
