This set of six bright stars forms the shape of a hexagon. Clockwise from top: Capella (just right of top centre), Aldebaran (orange giant star, centre right), Rigel (lower right), Sirius (lower left), Procyon (centre left), and Pollux (upper left). This asterism dominates a large area of the winter sky in the Northern Hemisphere. The orange star at centre is the red supergiant star Betelgeuse.
