Palm tanager and whisky bottle. Palm tanager (Thraupis palmarum) perched next to a bottle of Scotch whisky. This passerine bird, which usually nests in a palm tree, reaches a size of around 20 centimetres in length. It feeds on fruit and insects and is found in wooded and wetland areas. Photographed in Trinidad.
