Fontfroide Abbey. Aerial view over Fontfroide Abbey, or l'Abbaye Sainte-Marie de Fontfroide, near Narbonne, southwest France. This former Cistercian monastery was founded in 1093 by Viscount of Narbonne. It was affiliated with the Cistercian reform movement in 1144 but dissolved in 1791 during the French Revolution. Having been re-founded in 1858 it was finally dissolved in 1901.
