Caption: New Horizons image of frozen plains on the surface of the dwarf planet Pluto. This is a close-up of part of the heart-shaped region (informally named Tombaugh Regio) of the planet. The craterless surface is divided into irregularly-shaped segments and appears to be no more than 100 million years old. It is possiblky still being shaped by geologic processes. Image obtained by the spacecraft's Long Range Reconnaissance Imager (LORRI) on the 14th July 2015, at a distance of 77,000 kilometres from Pluto.
