Caption: Blank-firing revolver. Close-up of a Bruni Olympic .380 BBM blank-firing revolver being fired. This revolver was originally imported into the UK for use as a 'blank firer', typically as a starting pistol for a race. It was banned in 2010 as it became too easy for them to be illegally converted into live weapons. Photographed as part of work carried out by the UK's Health and Safety Laboratory (HSL).
