Caption: Reusable crew capsule (RCC) in low Earth orbit passing over a hurricane, illustration. The RCC can support a crew of up to seven astronauts. It is 8 metres long with solar voltaic panels (blue) spanning 15 metres. It is intended as a commercial solution for providing crewed access to low Earth orbit. It is a self-propelled and reusable spacecraft consisting of two basic parts. The crewed capsule is capable of returning safely to Earth, while the disposable service module provides propulsion, electricity and storage for consumables. The spacecraft docks with the International Space Station (ISS) and other spacecraft via its common berthing mechanism (CBM, lower right).
