Caption: Inuit hunter and husky dog team travelling on sea ice. Dog teams must be rested every hour for ten minutes. This breed of domestic dog (Canis familiaris) is used in teams to pull sledges in Arctic snow. The dogs can pull the sledge at about the pace of a running man. This is a commonly used form of transport in Arctic regions. Photographed in April, near Qaanaaq, Greenland.
