Caption: Close-up of the last blackboard drawings made by the Danish physicist Niels Bohr (1885-1962) before his death. Bohr made numerous contributions to physics during his career, but it was his work on the structure of atoms that won him the 1922 Nobel Prize. The upper drawing represents a contour in a complex plane, surrounding a singularity (at the origin) of the nonuniform function VZ. The lower drawing is a sketch of the 'Einstein box'.
