Caption: There are more than 600 species of venomous cone snails, with a variety of patterns. They inject prey with a barbed tooth, to paralyse it. They then draw the prey into their mouth and eat it whole. The most venomous of all is the geography cone. Some produce venom lethal to humans, which is also increasingly important in painkiller research. 20140763.
